Improve the appearance of teeth with porcelain veneers

Porcelain veneers are thin custom-made shells designed to match individual tooth colours that cover the surface of teeth. Also known as dental veneers or porcelain laminates, their application is used to alter the colour, size, length or shape of teeth to achieve the desired look. *Veneers are NOT available on the NHS*

How do porcelain veneers work?

Porcelain veneers are better at resisting stains than resin composite veneers due to their enhanced light reflecting properties and can therefore imitate the natural appearance of healthy looking teeth.

Veneers help to combat the wear and tear of teeth including discolouration from dental treatment, chipped, broken or misshaped teeth.

What happens next?

In order to establish the best use of porcelain veneers you will need to book a consultation with our professional cosmetic dental team. This consultation will assess your needs and suggest a suitable treatment plan that will involve the preparation of teeth before bonding the veneers.

Treatment is quick and painless and will include the removal of minute surface enamel from your teeth. Following this you will have an impression taken of each tooth requiring veneers, which will be used to cast the porcelain shells.

Your final appointment will include the fitting of the porcelain veneers onto your teeth using a safe oral cement to ensure accurate fitting. A mild anesthetic will be available should you need it.
